How we version integrations

When Inspectorio makes a major, breaking change to an API or to the File Transfer format, we apply a versioning strategy: two major versions run in parallel for a period of time, so you can move your integration to the new version before the old one is retired.

Non-breaking, additive changes, such as new optional fields or new endpoints, are released within the current version.

In the API reference, use the version selector at the top of an API's sidebar to switch between the versions available for that API.

Build for additive changes

New optional fields can appear in responses at any time. Make your integration ignore fields it does not recognize instead of failing on them.
